We’re proud to share an important update. New York State Solar Farm has once again been recognized by NYSERDA as a 2025 Quality Solar Installer – Platinum Status company. In past years, we were 1 of only 3 solar installers in New York State to earn this highest designation. As of 2025, that group has expanded slightly, and we are now 1 of only 4 installers statewide to hold Platinum Status.
This change reflects the continued growth of high-quality solar providers in New York, while still placing New York State Solar Farm among a very small group of installers that consistently meet NYSERDA’s highest standards.
What Is the NYSERDA Quality Solar Installer Program?
NYSERDA, the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority, created the Quality Solar Installer program to help homeowners find solar companies that meet high standards. This designation is based on real performance, not marketing claims.
Installers are reviewed through NYSERDA’s Quality Assurance (QA) program, which looks closely at completed projects, inspections, and overall workmanship.
The program has three levels:
- Quality Solar Installer
- Quality Solar Installer – Gold
- Quality Solar Installer – Platinum
Platinum Status is the highest level.
What Does Platinum Status Mean?
Earning NYSERDA Quality Solar Installer – Platinum Status is not easy. To qualify, a solar company must meet strict requirements year after year.
To earn Platinum Status, New York State Solar Farm had to:
- Be in full program compliance at the time of review
- Complete at least 12 solar projects in the past calendar year
- Maintain an average QA inspection score of 4.0 or higher
- Achieve the Quality Solar Installer designation for three consecutive years
