New York State Solar Farm Secures Over $750,000 in Solar Installation Grants for Hudson Valley Farms and Businesses
Modena, NY – October 21, 2024 – New York State Solar Farm, the only NYSERDA Platinum Awarded Solar Contractor in the Hudson Valley, has helped local farms and small businesses secure over $750,000 in solar installation grants from the USDA’s Rural Energy for America Program (REAP) and New York State.
Thanks to these grants, several businesses have completed solar installations, including Hudson River Fruit Distributors in Milton, NY (454 panels), Walden Car Wash and Laundromat in Walden, NY (127 panels), and Storybrook Hollow in Cairo, NY (20 panels).
“Solar energy helps farmers and businesses cut costs and increase efficiency,” said Anthony Sicari, President of New York State Solar Farm. “The USDA’s REAP program and state support have been invaluable in making these projects possible.”
With REAP grants covering up to 50% of installation costs, New York State Solar Farm continues to help businesses take advantage of these opportunities. The next application deadline is approaching at the end of the year.
