UPDATE: Ok, a couple of years out and I can say I'm not really happy with how I've been treated by these guys. A year after install, I lost a panel to squirrels nesting under the panels. The panel was fine, but they made me buy a new one, and I had to have critter guards installed. They were nice enough to waive the install fee for the one panel, but this fix took two months of back and forth of me having to message repeatedly to get something scheduled. The year after that, I lost four more panels to squirrels because the critter guards failed. They blamed the snow from the two storms we had that winter for maybe loosening the guards. They wouldn't stand by their work, and suggested I file a home insurance claim. So I now have to pay for four more panels, reinstall of the guards, and raise my home insurance premium. Except, it's been more than a month of them proposing some dates and not showing, and no responses to my messages. That's two consecutive peak production seasons with my system out of commission, and me feeling like I'm being milked by questionable practices.
I got a referral for this shop and was happy to find a family owned and operated shop with a good rep. I've had some really bad experiences with solar salespeople, but the crew at NYSSF have been stellar to work with. The breakdowns were easy to understand, they were super communicative, and patient. It was nice to get the full picture of the energy production and financing before anything was agreed to, and after an onsite they were able to redo their proposal to double the original power generation. Like they basically operate like you wish all contractors would, so I felt really well taken care of, and am super happy overall.
Our dealing with Rhona at NYSS was a pleasure. I found her to be honest and above all, extremely helpful. In the end. owing to a variety of factors (house location, shading from trees, distance to a possible ground site etc.) it wasn't possible to do a cost effective installation. There was no pressure at any stage and if our situation changes NYSS will be the first people we will contact.
After several years of wishing and weighing, then months of research, we finally bit the bullet and put in solar. We did a lot of due diligence and it was definitely worth it. The company, New York Solar Farm, we ended up working with was amazing in every way. They were there for us every step of the way from the very start to the finish.

Poor Customer Experience and Uncompetitive Pricing
I recently went through the process of researching and pricing out a 57-panel solar system for my home. After gathering multiple quotes, I scheduled a final proposal call with this company, hoping to get a competitive offer.
Unfortunately, my experience with my sales representative, Jesse, was extremely disappointing. He was late to our virtual appointment and came across as dismissive and unprofessional from the start. Instead of presenting his company’s value, he immediately asked to see my other quotes before providing anything of his own.
His attitude felt arrogant, and at no point did I feel like my business was valued. He said he would speak with the owner and send me an updated quote within five minutes—but I never received it. When I followed up the next day via email, his response continued to reflect the same dismissive tone.
When I eventually did receive pricing, it was more than $10,000 higher than other companies I had already vetted. For a company that advertises itself as a NYSERDA Platinum installer, I expected a much higher level of professionalism and competitiveness.
Jesse’s behavior felt more like a high-pressure sales tactic you’d expect from a used car or timeshare salesperson—not a reputable solar provider. Customer interaction is extremely important to me, and this experience raised serious concerns. If the sales process is this poor, it's hard to imagine the level of service after signing a contract.
I strongly recommend shopping around and choosing a company that values its customers, respects their time, and provides transparent, competitive pricing.
NYSSF has made buying and installing solar quick and easy. With the help of the folks at NYSSF (especially Kevin Curley) I got solar installed on my home a few months ago and now I'm saving money, even when factoring in the loan to pay off the panels.

NYSSF installed a 17-panel installation on our home in December, and were able to get everything completed before the end-of-year deadline. The panels have been working great, and since early April we have been in energy surplus, even with charging our EV 2-3 times per week. We're also happy to report that we received the tax credits, and appreciate the help we got from Gabby to know which forms to submit. We will definitely contact them again when we're looking to add a battery back-up system.
I have to say… NY state solar farm was a great choice for me. I had initially gone with another company and when it came down to installations, they weren’t willing to do it the way I wanted. NYSSF listened to my exact setup, and were knowledgeable with how to install and to meet all my requirements. I had a peculiar situation with my set up. For one, I had a flat roof, which was a big problem for most installers. I wanted power wall 3s put in, and that is brand new technology that I think most other companies aren’t even familiar with yet. They still are on the powerwall 2s and their specs. Now a days you can research your own stuff and figure out the math yourself, about what size kw system you need and how many batteries if you chose that way. Btw, home batteries are the way to go. NYSSF was on point with their knowledge and help. They really have enabled me to have some grid independence and receipts for central Hudson when they charge me the big bucks lol. Big shout outs to Gabby, Krystle, and the guys that came to install and fix things, sorry I can’t remember everyone’s names. Everyone was professional and great. Once again, great company and I look forward to doing more business with them
Although they didn't originally install my solar panels, Joe was nice enough to help me with a very simple fix: see if the breaker was tripped (which it was) and turn it back on! So very grateful for his wisdom and generosity. Thank you NY State Solar Farm!
NYSSF installed my 13KW system back in 2014 and the entire process could not have gone more smoothly. 12 years later (and zero electric bills) our house was struck by lightning and both of our inverters got fried (along with a bunch of household items). Surprisingly, they were able to replace both inverters under warranty and it cost me $0 for brand new inverters. Not only are they skilled craftsmen at installing solar systems, they provide excellent support more than a decade after the job is completed.

We used NYSSF for installing our solar panels and backup battery. They were very diligent and attentive to details. We enjoyed working with their team from the sales staff to the implementation group. They were all very knowledgeable about their areas and quick to get assistance if a matter required help from another group. The Utility company had an issue with their portal that delayed approvals. However, they stayed on it and made sure that all was in order before closing out the project.

NYSSF installed our 22KW system in June of 2025 and the entire process was an extremely positive experience. I pride myself on performing due diligence before selecting a vendor for any home project and spoke with 5 or more for our solar installation. We chose NYSSF because of their Platinum rating with the State of New York and the fact that they actually would not sell us the idea of full offset, which I appreciated. Our consultant, Kevin, was extremely knowledgeable and responsive - and worked hard to ensure we got as much production out of our system as was possible. Installation went very smoothly, and even almost a year later Kevin has been extremely communicative and forthcoming with any minor questions I may have. Would happily recommend them to anyone looking into solar.

NYSSF installed a 25 panel 8.125kW in our field 10 years ago. The installation went easily and everything worked well with the great bulk of my electricity now essentially free. When we recently decided to add Tesla Powerwall 3 (batteries) to the system to cover nighttime consumption and backup, NYSSF was the no-brainer option.
Everything for the battery installation went smoothly and the only hiccup was getting the right paperwork to Central Hudson – which was handled completely independently of me and did not introduce any delays. The installers answered my questions even as I got a little nerdy a week later.
We’re very happy we got the batteries installed: the monitoring app allows you to see in real time what’s going on with your system (for me - how much is being saved at night) and the Storm Watch feature - that fully charges the batteries when a storm is expected - has worked very well over the last couple of (significant) snowstorms.
The NYSSF Team led by Jennifer was very professional, experienced, efficient, and extremely accommodating! The Team worked diligently to file all the paperwork on time and install the panels during really cold weather conditions. We are grateful for their efforts and highly recommend NYSSF.

We've been happy with NYSSF and recommend them to any upstate homeowner looking to install solar. From our first interaction, we've been really impressed with NYSSF. We first reached out when we were considering whether to get solar panels for a house we were interested in. Jessica was very helpful in politely letting us know that she couldn't quote a price until we owned the home, and following up with recommendations for roofing contractors as we knew the house required a new roof before solar could be installed. Once we obtained the title, Jessica was prompt in setting up a meeting to chat about what we wanted out of the system and what they could offer. After speaking with other solar installers, we found that Jessica was the most upfront and least "salesy" of them. She took the time to understand our plans for the use of the home, and hence its power needs, and proposed an appropriate system size accordingly. She also provided a few options in terms of cost and quality. The in-depth conversation with Jessica, the many positive reviews on Google, and the strong NYSERDA rating for NYSSF convinced us that although the price quoted was higher than the other bids, we were getting a high-quality system and an expert installation. The process after that was easy: an NYSSF technician did an on-site feasibility check and drew up a design for our system, then their team obtained all the necessary permits from the town and the utility, reaching out to us with specific requests when needed. The installation was pushed back because of bad weather, but when it did take place, it was done within a day and the panels were up and running. Inspections and interconnection with our utility occurred shortly after (within the next two weeks) and we were fully operational and getting credits after that time. Since then, the panels have been working well, and we are able to monitor their production and any issues from the manufacturer's app. We did reach out to the NYSSF service team once or twice when production was low, but they checked immediately and let us know that it was merely a snow cover causing the low production. We're glad we went with NYSSF: it was a really easy process with a team that knows their stuff.
NYSSF completed my solar installation about a year ago. The system has been solid (no problems), exceeded production estimates, and I have nothing but good things to say about them. There was end to end support throughout the process with no surprises.

I have used NY State Solar Farm for multiple projects including an initial install and system expansion. Anthony and his team have always been exceptional. They made the planning, design and payment very easy and provided support for the system years after the initial installation was complete. Strongly recommend!
After receiving 4 quotes to install solar on our home, we enthusiastically signed the contract and paid a deposit with NYSSF. I still don't know why our project wasn't moved forward in the normal process, at one point being told our project was "on hold" even though we had not requested that. We also experienced delays in getting final designs with our project sitting in queue for engineers drawing for 4 weeks in September. After this, we thought we were ready to submit the permit application to our municipality. We were told it had to go back to the engineer's queue for another drawing with an official stamp. We signed July 2nd and at that point, had to cancel with NYSSF in mid October because NYSSF had still not submitted even our initial permit application. We missed out on the chance to receive the federal credit for projects completed in 2025 even though we signed in early July. Seeing other reviews, our experience seems to be unique. I don't know if our project was too small or what happened.

It was a great experience especially with the assistance of Jessica McGovern from NYSSF. She presented the project to us and explained into detail the solar panel project and how effective it would be. She goes into detail of what kind of panels are available and how much production per panel, warranty. She answered all our questions such as different type of charges (CBC charges, a rare occurrence of a generator upgrade due to the solar panel output to the grid, etc.) when to contact the building permit to close property permits to not be additionally charged, if panels are defective, etc. Once all permits and loans are approved the team on site quickly installed them within a few hours. After a week of installation your electric provider has to inspect and approve the system and you’re all set. You’ll be able to monitor the solar panels progress via an app which is great. It even lets you know how much electricity you’re using live and how much is being exported to the grid. It was a great experience and we would do it again. A special thank you to Jessica McGovern, she was there through the whole process for us guiding us. She broke everything down into detail and reviews everything with you to make sure you understand it all. She responded quickly and was even kind enough to respond while she was on vacation, we would highly recommend her and NYSSF.
These guys were great during the install and the 1st year or so. The system has worked as promised over the last 11 years. As with all things issues arise that need to be attended to. I have tried on multiple occasions to have them come out for these issues ( error codes on the inverters). Made multiple calls with no response, except a promise to get back to me. In order to get anything resolved, I have had to call the manufacture.
I received a letter after Sunpower was restructured, from NYSSF that stated they are still servicing "unabated".
Not in my case.
New York State Solar Farm installed a 25 panel, 10.625 kW solar array on my roof in June 2025. Overall, my experience was very positive.
When I started looking into solar in April 2025, the first thing I did was to try and get some aggregate quotes from EnergySage. Unfortunately, I got exactly one response, and that was from NYSSF. Undeterred, I decided to reach out to other companies directly. I solicited 10 quotes in total. NYSSF ended up being the second best in terms of overall $/W, but the one company that was cheaper had been around for less time and hadn't given me the best impression. I ended up going with NYSSF even though the price was slightly higher: I felt their reputation and overall quality of work was more than worth the slight extra cost.
The sales experience was great: I never felt pressured to sign anything, they gave me plenty of time to decide, and were definitely the most patient out of all the installers.
The install happened early June. Two vans and four or five workers took about half a day to get it all done: they came around 9 am and left before 4 pm. Install quality is excellent: I'm very happy with the standard of work on all of the items I can easily access and inspect, and that gives me confidence that the roof work is also good. The attic conduit run is particularly well done: they went the extra mile to have the conduit travel along the peak of the roof, where I could imagine many companies would simply just do a straight run across the floor to save time and material.
The array functions perfectly: all panels are working and all microinverters are producing as of today. Consumption and production CTs are both installed properly - I'm mentioning this solely because Enphase consumption CTs being installed in reverse or improperly configured seems to happen more often than expected. All of the electrical work seems solid as well.
Up till now, my experience has just been full of positives, so I'll mention two negatives.
The first involves cleanup. For the initial install, I have no complaints: the crew didn't leave very much behind and even swept up parts of the property where fallen debris had gathered. However, a secondary crew came out to put on critter guard afterwards, and ever since I've been finding zipties periodically falling off the roof. It's not a huge deal, but I can imagine if you had pets it could have been a potential choking hazard.
My second complaint involves permitting. The initial permitting was fine: NYSSF handled both the town and utility permitting, and we received both in a timely manner. However, after the install finished and utility approval was received, the last step is to close out the town permit.
We received utility approval mid-July. Ever since then, for over two and half months, I've been asking about closing out the town permit. In order to do so, I needed to schedule a final building inspection. Before this could happen though, two things needed to be submitted to the town: a finalized copy of the electrical inspection, and an Affidavit of Final Cost. Long story short, I sent out half a dozen emails, each separated by about two weeks. I was told that the documents were sent in August, but even by mid-September my building department had not received anything. Eventually, I wrote my own affidavit, found a notary to endorse it, scheduled the building inspection, gave them the affidavit, showed them the electrical inspection sticker, and closed out the permit myself.
At the end of the day though, the thing I care about most is the install quality. I'm not going to look back in 10 years and think about whether I got a permit closed in a timely manner, but I would most certainly care if my roof started leaking prematurely, and NYSSF has given me the confidence that their installation team does great work. I would wholeheartedly recommend working with them if you're interested in getting solar installed on your roof. Just make sure to keep an eye on your permit.

We recently had panels installed and NYSSF made it as easy as can be. We worked with Jennifer, who was lovely and knowledgeable. We received another estimate from a company who's "solar bro" salesman was condescending and annoying (and encouraged federal tax fraud). Jennifer and the NYSSF team were the opposite. Jennifer was honest that most people can't meet their full needs with panels, but then was happy to tell me that the more detailed assessment of our house indicated that it would. We've had solar now for a couple months, paying only the connection fee for electricity, and I like seeing the app's graph showing how much more we made compared to what we used (and hope any reserve will get us through some of the fall/winter months).

NYSSF worked with us to install 26 panels with 12kW capacity at our home. The planning process was extremely detailed and we were provided answers to all our questions by the NYSSF consultant. The installation was completed on time with no damage to our home. For the past three months, the system has been working well - generating up-to 60kWh per day on clear sunny spring days. Okay, so we kicked off our solar journey last May, and seriously, it was the BEST call we ever made! Our electricity bill used to hit almost $400 in July, but after that one kinda big bill right at the start, things changed. We went live in August, and ever since? Our electric bill's been a big fat ZERO! (Peep the bill snip, no joke!). Well, okay, there's always that tiny ~$20 service fee from the utility company, but that's it! Even on crazy hot days like today (97 degrees, ugh!), our 32-panel system is cranking out more power than we use. You can even see it live in the app snip!
And yeah, the solar panels have to be paid for, right? But the tax credits actually knocked off about 37% of the price, which is huge! We're paying under $180 a month, and honestly, we're paying it off way faster than the standard 10-year loan.( is what we chose there are diferent terms)
Is great to have net metering! So, what we don't use in power each month actually goes back to the utility and stays as a credit for us for the next month. Great !

Just a heads-up, we started in May and went live in August, but I was super quick responding and getting them what they needed, so your timeline might be a bit different.
Also, those permits from the town can take longer or less depending on your location, so keep that in mind!
We waited a whole year to post this review just to really test the system out and make sure there weren't any mistakes or damages (which, let's be real, can statistically happen!) and to make sure we got all our federal and state credits (FYI: always double-check you're gonna get those!).

We had a great experience with NYSSF from start to finish! Kevin Curley in sales was very easy to work with. He answered all of my many questions in a timely manner and we were in touch non stop during the entire process. It is definitely a long undertaking, but if things slowed even a bit, Kevin would shoot out emails to make sure things were always moving forward. (Allyson Vasquez, project manager, was also very helpful in making sure all of the forms/applications/certificates/etc. were filled out correctly and sent off to the right people.)
The installation day was quick and painless and things have been operating smoothly since! We also received our tax rebate with no issues.
There are many options out there for solar install, but we highly recommend NYSSF!

My experience with New York State Solar Farm was truly exceptional from start to finish. Every professional I worked with, including Gabby in sales, Vinny, Joe, Eric, and the installation team, was warm, friendly, and professional. I learned a great deal from them, and their expertise was invaluable.
I became interested in solar panels after hearing about the positive experiences of colleagues. With the Federal Investment Tax Credit and New York State's NY-Sun Program offering significant incentives, it seemed like a smart decision. I spent months researching and discussing solar panels with neighbors to find any potential downsides. The only challenge I encountered was the size of my roof, which might limit the system's ability to fully cover my energy needs.
NYSSF was quite flexible in by digging a trench to the detached garage, so we can install additional panels on the garage. I am grateful that NYSSF’s accommodating with the trenching and the installation.
Most likely, I will ask NYSSF to install more panels on the north-facing roof. I will probably also ask them to install an electric vehicle charger.

I have been with New York State solar farm for almost 8 yrs now. When deciding to move forward with solar we looked into and received quotes from multiple companies. We decided to go with New York State solar farm over others based on reviews and friends that recommended them highly.
The process from planning to installation was pretty seamless, with no hidden fees or agenda. We were up and running on time on April 1st 2017. For the next 6 yrs I watched my meter stay flat or even run backwards during certain times of the yr. On one occasion part of one inverter went bad and the team at NYSSF responded quickly and fixed issue. We had a second sunpower inverter go bad. We waited on sunpower to approve new inverter. This was during the time prior to sunpower bankruptcy. Kept NYSSF in the loop the whole time. Finally after waiting on sunpower and getting nowhere, Anthony and team at NYSSF took it upon themselves to replace inverters with Tesla power wall inverters.
These are great working and looking inverters. We are extremely happy since they’ve been replaced. NYSSF has been very professional and goes above and beyond to keep me happy with my system. Highly recommend solar, and very highly recommend NYSSF.

Below is my review based on my previous interactions with NYSSF. I'm now adding to that review and reducing my rating because they aren't responding to my attempts to reach them to check why one of my panels is not reporting. Hoping that raising the issue here will prompt a call back.
NYSSF installed my Sunpower system in 2016. In 2024 the controller stopped communicating with Sunpower and I reached out to NYSSF for assistance. They replaced my PSV5 with an up to date PSV6 at no charge. They also said they would honor the system's warranty. Much appreciated given the uncertainty around the Sunpower bankruptcy.

I worked with a lot of other companies and learned a lot about how solar works. New York State Solar Farm sales people, in particular Gabby, were remarkably responsive and patient with my questions and unlike some other companies, stuck to the facts in there responses. I was so happy when by spreadsheet also showed that they had the best price. After I made my decision to go with them, it felt like all I had to do way turn the key and it happened. In truth I had to make a few changes and there were inevitable hiccups but they were so responsive in reacting that I had forgot about them.
I had NYSSF install my leased panels in 2015…ten years later, all is well. Glad I did this, it’s not snake oil after all….!
While I found the initial presentation not the slickest, the personal attention and enthusiasm more than made up for it. During the process I was kept up-to-date on a very regular basis. And the eventual installation was one of the best pieces of craftsmanship I have ever seen performed.

Very impressed. Install looks great. They had no issues with a special request to come in under the soffit (rather than take a conduit down the side). Sales (Kevin Curley) was knowledgeable and provided lots of options and the process was painless even though our build dragged on quite a bit longer than anticipated.
I chose NYSSF for a number of reasons
1) They had access to all the latest equipment (Rec solar panels, Tesla PW 3s)
2) Their customer support was amazing (Thanks Gabby and Ally)
3) Their price was very competitive
I was originally going to give a 4 star review, because the technicians said I could only install some of the equipment (gateway, combiner) in places I didn't want.
However, on installation day the technicians actually acceded to my request and we installed the equipment where I had originally desired.
As far as the lead up to install date, they took care of all the paperwork and certification, I didn't have to do anything other than sign e documents.
My system has been up and running smoothly for about 2months. I had one issue regarding the Tesla app (display issue, system itself was working), and they fixed it the same week.
Highly recommend.

I would like to highly recommend NY State Solar Farm (SunPower Solar). I have researched and compared different solar companies on-line and no other competitor matched their high efficiency solar panels and offered a full warranty on the panels and workmanship.
The staff was exceptional. Sheldon was very informative and answered all our questions and concerns. We were so impressed with SunPower that we signed the contract immediately. Allyson was the one who we communicated with during the process from the install date to the numerous approvals required to getting the system up and running. She is to be highly commended for her exceptional and professional assistance with the numerous emails we exchanged throughout this process. Whatever concerns or questions I had she responded immediately. It was truly a pleasure to work with her.
On the day of install, the men installed 33 panels. They were extremely impressive. The way they carried the solar panels to the roof and installed these panels within six hours. They were extremely professional and thoroughly cleaned the area.
Now that our solar panels are in full swing, I have to say that I love the use of their app. It is very easy to use and shows the solar production by day, week or month.
All in all, SunPower is the way to go for solar panels.
I had my installation done back in May of 2024. Since then I have saved over 1K dollars in my electric bill. My home is 100% electric so my usage was very high. I gave 5 starts to this review because of Jessica and the install team. Jessica was and is to this day very supportive thru the entire process. The production and savings forecast was right on the money. Even the Emphase team which I have called twice has been great and solved all issues in one phone call. The installation team was also very good. They came on time and completed the work in a few hours with no damage to my property. They cleaned up all the garbage and left everything just as found. The office team has some opportunities. After the initial contact from the project Manager, she can be a little hard to get a hold off. Jessica stepped in and helped with additional information that I was looking for. Overall a great experience. I would recommend NYS Solar Farm to anyone to use. I felt so confident in their work that I hired them to install a system at my mothers house. I highly recommend them. You will not be disappointed.

We are very happy with our new solar installation and the service that we received from New York State Solar Farms. We found that the staff including Jesse, Alyssa and the installation team to be very professional, knowledgeable, well organized and customer oriented.
Why did we select NYSSF? First of all, their reviews were outstanding. The company is well established with thousands of successful installs, so…. we were confident that we were in good hands. During our initial discussion Jesse was able to pull up our house using LIDAR imaging to help assess our solar potential. NYSSF has a focus on educating their customers. They have an extensive YouTube channel that features past installs and topical issues such as how to use the monitoring software. Jesse spent a terrific amount of time helping us understand the process and the details of the financial investment. In particular he discouraged us from buying separate storage batteries, because of the savings of having net metering with our utility. He answered all of our questions
What was the installation like? We were amazed at the professionalism of the production crew. They claimed that it would be a one day project and they were right. The team was very efficient. Everyone knew their job and did it well. We were particularly impressed with the care the team gave to our home. We have a lot of flowers and plants surrounding our house. The team took extraordinary care to protect them.
Were there any negatives? Jesse warned us early on that once the proper paperwork was submitted to our town there could be a significant wait. He was right. Every township is different and the approval process was slower than we hoped. However once the application was approved the installation team was here within a week. We were impatient, but we had been fairly warned.
Has a wonderful experience with Jen. She was very detailed and very informative. Very happy and satisfied with our end results!

Such a great experience with NYSSF and Jennifer Kipperman. They installed quicker than they thought and Jennifer gave us excellent advice that saved us money. The solar panels cover all our electrical costs including the usage from our new HVAC system with a heat pump. I wish we did it sooner.

Had a great experience with NYSSF. Called them and got scheduled for an estimate call right away. Once paperwork was signed they handled absolutely everything. Got all of the incentives and rebates from NY and federal government for solar all handled. Filled out all the paperwork for me. Everything went off without a hitch and in a few months my solar installation appointment came and it was installed in a day. Panels are working great. Highly recommend.
New York State Solar Farm (NYSSF) was a pleasure to do business with. Earlier this year, I was interested in buying solar panels to have consistent energy costs and not be fully reliant on my local utility company for energy. I gathered and compared quotes for around 7 solar companies.
I decided to use NYSSF to install my panels because they did not use pushy sales tactics to get me to go solar, they were honest, provided upfront pricing for all costs, they did not have hidden costs, and they are a NYSERDA PLATINUM QUALITY INSTALLER, among other things.
My primary point of contact was Gabby, followed by Allyson. Both women were very professional, accommodating, and overall a pleasure to work with. I also needed to get my roof replaced and NYSSF recommended an amazing roofing company (Extera Roofing in Goshen, NY). Our experience with both companies was relieving, especially when compared to some of the other solar companies that try to force/guilt you into a deal.
I would recommend NYSSF 100% 10/10 for your solar installation and will be using them in the future when I decide to add more panels or perform other energy upgrades.

NYSSF did our install on a 16KW solar roof. Gabby and all the crew explained the process in detail, helping every step with any issues that popped up (paperwork issues only). There were no surprises and the actual panel install was done in less than a day. The connection process by CenHud was completed within 2 weeks and we were generating our own power! Overall we are very happy with NYSSF and will let all our friends and family know they should go with them if they are thinking about solar.

If you are thinking of "going solar" (and why shouldn't you?!), New York Solar Farm is definitely the way to go. I worked with Jenn Kipperman mostly, and also with Allyson Vasquez; both are excellent communicators. Without pressure, Jenn answered all of our initial questions and clearly explained the process from A to Z. When it was determined that it was advisable to install a new roof, she both recommended an excellent roofer (Exterra roofing) and understood that we would need to complete that work before moving on to solar. I can't say enough nice things about this company.
I got my solar from NYSSF. They are good honest people. I really enjoyed working with Dave and the whole team. They constantly kept me updated throughout the application, permitting, installation, and inspection process. The installation took about a day. The permitting process will be the longest part of the process. Also, the panels are generating energy like the initial estimate.
