The status of SunPower’s warranties is currently uncertain. However, New York State Solar Farm’s workmanship warranty will remain in effect, and we will continue to support your system. It’s important to note the Maxeon solar panels and Enphase inverter technology provided by SunPower are considered among the best in the industry and known for their high quality and durability.
Enphase released the following update regarding their warranty:
As you may know, on Aug 6, 2024, SunPower filed for relief under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code.
Enphase Energy has received questions about Enphase microinverters incorporated in SunPower systems. Rest assured that Enphase Energy will honor the terms of the product warranty for Enphase microinverters used in SunPower solar systems.

In light of the unfortunate news regarding SunPower Corporation’s filing for bankruptcy protection under Chapter 11, we want to provide an update regarding warranty support for solar panels made by Maxeon Solar Technologies and supplied by SunPower Corporation.
Maxeon solar panels are manufactured with the highest quality standards and have one of the lowest return rates in the industry. If you own a SunPower system that includes SunPower-branded panels that are manufactured by Maxeon Solar Technologies, Maxeon will meet its warranty obligations for these solar panels.
For support issues, please contact your solar installer. Maxeon will work with your installation partner to support any warranty coverage.
An opportunity to register your system for continued warranty coverage by Maxeon will be coming soon.
The resolution of SunPower’s monitoring obligations is still pending through the bankruptcy process. SunPower has stated that it expects a resolution relating to its monitoring obligations via the bankruptcy process. We are actively seeking a solution and will update you as soon as more information becomes available.
